NUFAM 2025 with expanded concept, new outdoor area and strengthened portfolio

Four days, four halls, over 400 exhibitors and a brand new outdoor area – from 25 to 28 September next year, the commercial vehicle industry will meet at NUFAM on the grounds of the Karlsruhe Exhibition Centre.

A comprehensive portfolio from all weight and equipment classes will be presented. From last-mile solutions to transporters and heavy trucks, visitors to NUFAM will gain a comprehensive overview of current and future technology.

New outdoor area

Visitors can experience products live in the demo park. Exhibitors will show their vehicles in action, offering an exclusive insight into their product ranges. With the appropriate driving licence, test drives from the exhibition grounds to public areas and back are also possible.

All this will take place on the completely renovated Peter-Groß-Bau site at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Centre. The outdoor area has been rebuilt in recent months and adapted to the needs of exhibiting companies. With its 105,000 square metres, it is the third-largest outdoor exhibition area of any trade fair in Germany. The site was presented in detail in a video at the digital NUFAM Day 2025.

Alternative drives

At last year's NUFAM DAY, the question arose as to what role the renewed toll for trucks plays: Does it represent successful climate policy or is it merely a tax increase through the back door? The entire discussion is available for interested parties to watch on the NUFAM YouTube channel.

The topics of alternative drives and renewable energies will also play an important role during NUFAM 2025. All well-known manufacturers will be bringing trucks, transporters and more that are electrically powered or draw their energy from hydrogen. HVO100 will also be a central theme at the trade fair.

Special hydrogen exhibition

The hydrogen engine will be a particular highlight at this year's NUFAM. The special exhibition of the Hydrogen Engine Alliance will take place for the first time as part of the commercial vehicle trade fair. It will last two days. Meeting place for local authorities

For many years, NUFAM has also been an important meeting place for municipalities and local authorities. In addition to vehicles for construction and transport, exhibitors at the Karlsruhe commercial vehicle trade fair showcase the latest developments for municipal needs.

In the ‘Municipal Meeting Point’ area, employees can find out everything they need to know about everything from large trucks to climate-friendly road vehicles for use in cities, for example. In this area, NUFAM offers real added value for fleet managers, users and representatives of private utility and waste disposal companies.

Guided tours

Visitors interested in the municipal sector can gain even more detailed insights into the topic on the guided municipal tour in german. Those interested can register for the free tours via the ticket shop.

The same applies to the ‘Classic’ and ‘New Mobility’ guided tours. The Classic tour offers a comprehensive overview of NUFAM and the commercial vehicle industry in general. ‘New Mobility’, on the other hand, deals with new and alternative drive systems and their possibilities. All tours also offer participants the perfect opportunity for professional exchange among colleagues.

Telematics and Charging@NUFAM expert forums

The expert days on the topics of telematics and load security are also particularly valuable. In Hall 3, experts will be presenting exciting content on the subject of telematics on Thursday and Friday of the trade fair. Moderated by trade journalist Marcus Walter, the speakers will give 15-minute presentations on topics such as ‘From data to action: How to manage your fleet more efficiently than ever before’ and ‘Modern risk assessment in fleet management – occupational safety and modern technologies for greater safety’.

Saturday at Charging@NUFAM is dedicated to charging infrastructure and organised in the same way as the Telematics Forum. Visitors can expect topics such as ‘The eTruck Depot – the backbone of a functioning e-logistics system’ and ‘Electrification of the vehicle fleet – from operational analysis to infrastructure concept’. Live podcast in german

For more than a year, NUFAM project manager Florian Klag and Marcus Walter, trade journalist and long-time expert in the commercial vehicle industry, have been talking to experts about topics that affect the industry. During NUFAM, the two will join Christina Scheib live on stage to discuss women in the commercial vehicle industry and why comparatively few of them are active as truck drivers, for example. Like all previous episodes of the podcast, this episode will be available to listen to HERE or on Spotify. Expanded supporting programme

In addition to a wealth of technical expertise, visitors to NUFAM can also look forward to an exciting and informative supporting programme. The NUFAM Action Zone features goal wall shooting, the DEKRA truck simulator, beer crate stacking, a bouncy castle from Auto Böhler, a rollover simulator and much more. There is also the Unimog course, where visitors can experience live the gradients that the vehicle can overcome.

NUFAM – The Commercial Vehicle Show

NUFAM is a leading trade fair for the commercial vehicle industry and combines current technology with mobility concepts of the future. The ninth NUFAM – the commercial vehicle show – will take place from 25 to 28 September 2025 at the Karlsruhe Exhibition Centre.
