NUFAM heads for record output

The commercial vehicle trade fair at Messe Karlsruhe will take place from 21 to 24 September. The trend is clear: this will be the biggest NUFAM in its history.

The NUFAM commercial vehicle trade fair in the Karlsruhe exhibition halls takes place from 21 to 24 September. It has long been one of the leading events in the industry - and this year it is bigger than ever before. A good six months before the fair, 85 percent of the available stand space has already been booked.

With 50,000 square metres of hall capacity and another 30,000 square metres of available outdoor and special exhibition space, visitors will be presented with a comprehensive portfolio in all weight and equipment classes. This also includes live formats such as the Demo Park with presentations by exhibitors, the Municipal Miles with a wide range of vehicles for public use and the extended offer of test drives for visitors.

E-drives, hydrogen and synthetic fuels

One of the focal points at NUFAM 2023 will be the topic of alternative drive technologies. "We are pleased to welcome numerous key players of alternative charging infrastructures and suppliers at NUFAM 2023 for the first time. These include manufacturers of hydrogen filling stations and electric charging stations. But synthetic fuels will also be a topic. So the complete range of different forms of energy will be on site at the commercial vehicle trade fair," says Jochen Bortfeld, NUFAM Project Manager at Messe Karlsruhe.

Federal and state governments assume patronage

The importance of NUFAM 2023 is made clear by the fact that both the federal government and the state of Baden-Württemberg are patrons of the commercial vehicle trade fair. Baden-Württemberg's Minister of Transport, Winfried Herrmann, will take part in a panel discussion on the topic of "Climate-neutral transport on the road" during the opening of the fair on 21 September.

"The dual patronage by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Affairs and by the Ministry of Transport of Baden-Württemberg underlines the role that NUFAM has carved out for itself in Karlsruhe. The commercial vehicle industry plays a decisive role in the fight against climate change. It is therefore all the more important that alternative drives and charging infrastructures are the focus of NUFAM", says Beate Frères, Division Manager in the Own Exhibitions Division at Messe Karlsruhe.
